Jennifer Fritts DPT, OCS, CMP, FAFS, FGS earned her Physical Therapy doctorate from the University of Michigan in 2003. She enjoys looking at the body as a whole and helping her patients regain as much function as they can. She has been very fortunate to learn about the pelvis and how to incorporate her functional understanding to treat the whole body from the best teachers in the world. Jenn’s interest in how the body moves has guided her clinical practice over the past 17 years. She currently practices at Integrated Rehabilitation Services in Ellington, Connecticut.
Jenn is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), having been recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a therapist whose clinical specialization in orthopedic physical therapy demonstrates knowledge, skill and experience exceeding that of an entry level physical therapist. The credentials of Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) are designated to those individuals who have successfully become board certified clinical specialists in the areas of orthopedics. At a minimum, therapists who receive this clinical distinction have completed 2,000 hours of direct patient care in the area of orthopedics and have successfully completed a rigorous written examination.
Jenn is also a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP), a professional designation for therapists who have demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge base and clinical expertise in the Mulligan Concept manual therapy techniques, as recognized by the Mulligan Concept Teachers Association. Certified Mulligan Practitioners have completed extensive coursework and study in the Mulligan Concept and have passed an examination designed to assess the clinical knowledge and skills developed by the practitioner throughout the course curriculum.
In 2016, Jenn completed her Fellowship of Applied Functional Science. To obtain this certification, Jennifer participated in a 40-week internship program at the Gray Institute. The knowledge gained from this course has helped Jennifer develop very specific and effective training programs for her patients. Additionally, Jenn was one of the first certified Functional Golf Specialists by the Gray Institute, a world leader in Applied Functional Science® for physical rehabilitation.
Jenn’s passion for golf and knowledge of functional exercise combined with the manual skills of the Mulligan Concept give her unique qualifications to provide functional training to golf athletes.
